Niagara Falls is a big waterfall. It is one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. It is also one of the most famous. Niagara Falls is located on the border between the United States and Canada. The part in the United States is located in the state of New York. Three smaller waterfalls make up Niagara Falls. They join together to create one big waterfall. These three waterfalls are called Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls is also called Canadian Falls. It is the biggest of the three. Niagara Falls is very beautiful. Many people visit Niagara Falls every year. It was made 10,000 years ago by melting glaciers. The glaciers melted to reveal a long cliff. Water then flowed over the cliff creating waterfalls. Today, Niagara Falls is a source of hydroelectricity. Hydroelectricity is electricity created by water power.
