A big creature swims in Loch Ness. Loch Ness is a lake in Scotland. The creature is called the Loch Ness Monster. Many people just call it Nessie. Some people claim to have seen it. There is a blurry photograph from 1934 that may show Nessie's head and neck. The photo was taken by R. Kenneth Wilson. It is the most famous photograph of Nessie. The photograph shows something sticking out of the water. The photograph is too blurry to really tell if it is a monster. In the 1930s, sightings of Nessie became very popular. There had been reports about Nessie before the 1930s. There are even reports from over a thousand years ago about a creature at Loch Ness. Most scientists don't believe Nessie is real. People still claim to see Nessie today. Nessie looks like a really big turtle with a long head and neck like a snake.
