Aquariums, or fish tanks, are beautiful to watch. It takes a lot of work to set up and take care of an aquarium. You can't just put fish in a tank of water and expect them to live. Fish can't live in tap water because it has chlorine in it. You must add a chemical to take out the chlorine. You need a filter to help keep the water clean. Then you need a hood with a light so you can see the fish, and so they won't jump out of the tank! Next, line the bottom of the tank with gravel and add plants. You'll need a heater to keep the water warm. When you're ready to add fish, make sure you choose ones that get along together. Be sure to buy some fish food too. You'll need to clean the sides of the tank every week. Once a month, you should change some of the water in the tank. It's a lot of work to have happy fish!
