Polar bears are large and white. They live in the Arctic. They are carnivores. This means they eat meat. They also eat berries. Polar bears don't mind the cold. Their fur and blubber protect them. Blubber is another word for fat. Male bears can weigh up to 1300 pounds! They can be up to 11 feet tall! Female polar bears are smaller. Polar bears are very good swimmers. This helps when they hunt for food. Even though they are big, they are fast runners. They can outrun a human. You should never get close to a polar bear. They might look cute, but they are very dangerous!
