Are you adventurous? If so, one day you might consider a backpacking trip to another country. Hostels are low-cost accommodations all over the world that many backpackers utilize. Staying in hostels can be fun because it allows you to experience the real culture of each city or country you visit. For example, in a hostel you will likely bunk with people of other nationalities who are also exploring. Hostels are often located in older buildings, so it's easy to see interesting architecture that you wouldn't find in a brand new hotel. A big thing to keep in mind, however, is that hostels don't provide luxury accommodations like hotels. Hostels aren't fancy at all, which is why they're so inexpensive. In fact, be prepared to share a bathroom with others and even to sleep in the same room, called a dormitory, with as many as 20 other people. Private rooms are also available in a hostel, although they are more expensive.
