Persia is known as Iran today. The Taj Mahal is located on the Yamuna River in India. The Taj Mahal has a domed roof. A domed roof is like a half circle. The roof is 80 feet high. There are beautiful gardens around the Taj Mahal. Much of the Taj Mahal is made of marble. Marble is an expensive type of rock. It took 20,000 men working for over twenty years to finish the Taj Mahal.
