Niagara Falls is not one of the highest waterfalls, but the biggest in North America in terms of water volume. Niagara Falls is powerful and is used to generate electricity by sending some of the water through turbines. At Bridal Veil Falls in the mountains of North Carolina, the road runs behind the waterfall. The highest waterfall in the world is Angel Falls in Venezuela. Angel Falls is 3,212 feet high.
