Nobody hated getting dressed up more than Lisa. She hated wearing dresses. She said they made her look silly. Lisa liked wearing jeans and shorts. She liked wearing flip-flops or sneakers. Sometimes, she just liked going barefoot. She absolutely hated wearing her dressy shoes. They were black and shiny. They also had little straps that fastened at her ankle. She thought that they looked stupid. Of course, she couldn't say that to her mom or dad. That would be rude. Instead, she just said she didn't like how they looked. She didn't wear them often. But sometimes, she didn't have a choice. One of those times was when she had to go to a wedding. She wasn't even sure who was getting married. It was the daughter of someone her mother worked with. When she went to the reception afterwards, a boy said she looked very pretty. She looked down at her feet and smiled.
