Paula reached into her closet to grab the last of her clothes. She was packing for her week-long trip to summer camp. Paula was excited about camp. But she was also nervous. She had gone to camp every summer for the past three years. And she always had a great time. She knew this year would be the same. But she was still a little scared. It made her nervous to be away from home for so long. She was also afraid that none of her old friends would be back this year. Then she would be all by herself for the whole week. Paula zipped up her suitcase. She thought about all of the fun activities she would be doing at camp. She realized that her fears were not realistic. She knew she would enjoy camp again this year. And she would make new friends if her old ones were not there.
