As her bike zoomed down the hill, she anticipated the next climb. After an hour of riding, she had grown tired of the roller coaster road she was on. She no longer noticed how the wind cooled her face or how her bike felt lighter as it flew downhill. Instead, she thought about how hard she would have to work to climb the next hill. She knew that her legs would burn and that she would quickly become out of breath. As she reached the bottom of the hill, the bike leveled then turned upwards. She changed gears to try to use the momentum of the descent to climb the height ahead of her. She concentrated on spinning the pedals with equal force while staring at the pavement three feet in front of her. When she did look up, she was rounding the top of the hill and already thinking about the next climb.
