Cooking Class

James loved cooking class. He thought he would hate it. He never thought cooking would be fun. He had cooking class twice a week. On the other days, he had gym and art class. In cooking class, the teacher split the students into groups of three. Each group had their own cooking station. Each station had its own measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, and ingredients. Last week, they made cinnamon muffins and iced tea. The week before, they made orange smoothies and corn bread. Each student in the group got a chance to measure and mix things. It was easy to cooperate in such a small group. But the best part of class was at the end. They got to eat whatever they made! James thought the cinnamon muffins were the most delicious. He made them again at home over the weekend. His family thought they were great too. Today they were going to make apple pie. The recipe looked complicated, but James knew he could do it. With a little help, they could all do it. And then they could eat it!
