Cary was going to have her first slumber party. Five of her closest friends were invited. She had been helping her mother clean all day. They bought special snacks for the party. Cary's mom rented movies she thought the girls would like. One movie was funny, and the other was scary. Together, Cary and her mom moved the furniture around in the living room. They made sure there was enough space for all six girls to lay their sleeping bags. Cary even cleaned her bedroom. The board games were set out on the table, waiting to be used. The pizza was ordered. By the time the guests arrived, the house looked spotless. All of the girls carried sleeping bags and appeared to be excited. They looked at each other and giggled. They knew it was going to be a long night ahead. A night of talking, playing games, watching movies, and eating as much pizza as they could. They were finally going to have a slumber party.
