They are not huge, meat-eating animals. And they are not poisonous. One favorite animal on the island is a lemur. A lemur is like a small monkey. Lemurs leap from tree to tree. They live in troops and like to have fun. Another great animal is the chameleon. The chameleon is a small reptile that blends in with its surroundings. It can change its color depending on what it wants to look like. Also, its eyes can look in two different directions at the same time. The small reptile can look up and down at the same time! It is easy to camp out or stay in a hotel in Madagascar. It is an island like no other, offering sightseeing and adventures difficult to imagine until you've seen them.
