She had her new backpack. All her new supplies were packed inside. She wore her new, blue skirt. Her pink t-shirt matched perfectly. A long, blonde ponytail hung from the back of her head. Jessica was ready for her first day of school. She was in sixth grade now. She was not a teenager yet. But she wasn't a little girl either. She was sad that summer was over. But Jessica was excited to see her school and her teacher. She had Ms. Miller this year. Ms. Miller was a good teacher. And she was nice too. Jessica thought she might be a teacher someday too.
