Each year, many people decide to take a trip on their bicycles. The trip may last for several weeks, a few days, or just a weekend. There are several reasons why bicycle trips are appealing. First, a bicycle allows people to travel at a good pace but not as fast as in a car, so they're outside connecting with nature. It is also very affordable. Food and accommodations are the only expense, as well as energy to pedal the bike! Experts recommend planning to cover between 60 and 100 kilometers a day. It's also a good idea to plan routes that don't have many hills because that will slow you down quite a bit. Another tip is to take a break on the third or fourth day of your trip to rest sore muscles. Finally, cyclists will want to make sure they have all of the proper equipment for their trip including a helmet, odometer, and plenty of water.
