Monica was a saver. She saved everything. But some of the stuff Monica kept was silly. One day, Monica's sister came over. She told Monica she was going to help her clean out her closets. She thought they were too messy. Monica's sister said she should give away her old stuff. There were people in the city who could use it. Monica wasn't pleased. But she started cleaning. They found lots of things as they cleaned. They found attachments for a vacuum that Monica no longer had. They found clothes that didn't fit Monica anymore. They found a set of dishes that Monica got as a gift. She never used them. But she never returned them either. Monica began to see her sister's point. Her sister called her neighbor, who had a truck. She asked if he could pick up Monica's stuff. Then he would bring it to the thrift store. It could be donated and reused. Someone else could use it. This made Monica feel good. It also made her feel good to have clean closets again.
