As Melanie approached the gate, she could hear the buzz of the crowd. She handed her ticket to the teller and stepped inside the open-air arena. This was her first big concert, and she had been looking forward to this night since she bought the tickets two months ago. Before Melanie had even made her way to her seat, she was spellbound by the sights, the booths for renting chairs, the beverage stands, and the tables where vendors were selling various articles of memorabilia like buttons, bumper stickers, and T-shirts. But the most interesting attraction to Melanie was the walkway of mist arranged so people could pass through to cool off from the summer heat without actually getting wet. Melanie had no idea there were so many activities revolving around a concert. She had come for the music, but there was so much more to experience.
