Concert

Sonny had to dress up in his best clothes. He only wore these clothes on special occasions. But he didn't mind because he was so excited. He and his parents were going to a concert. Sonny had never been to a concert before. His dad told him that they would be hearing music played on the piano. That seemed a little strange to Sonny. His grandmother played a piano sometimes at her house. He couldn't imagine lots of people wanting to go see someone play the piano. The concert was in an auditorium. Sonny's mom told him that an auditorium was a big building where lots of people could get together. In an auditorium, lots of people could see a concert or a play. Sonny was amazed at how many people were at the concert. He looked around from his seat. There were hundreds of people there! Finally, a woman in a black dress came out and sat at the piano. This was it! Sonny listened closely. He heard beautiful music. It was amazing. He'd never heard anything so great before. He couldn't believe that one person could make such great music. Sonny loved the concert.
