Delaware is the second smallest state. It is only 30 miles wide. It is only 100 miles long. The capital of Delaware is Dover. Most of Delaware is a part of the Delmarva Peninsula. A peninsula is a piece of land that has water on three sides. The Delmarva Peninsula is named after three states. The states are Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Delaware is very flat. The highest point is 450 feet above the sea.
