Blue grass music is a mix of English, Scottish, and Irish music and jazz. Kentucky is also known for horse racing. The Kentucky Derby is a celebrated horse race. It is held in Louisville, Kentucky. The race happens every year on the first Saturday of May. The winner of the race is given a big blanket of roses. Some people call the race "The Race for the Roses." The Kentucky Derby is the first of three famous horse races. All three races are known as the "Triple Crown."
