Chester had to do a report for school. His report had to be about a famous general. Chester didn't know of any famous generals. He tried to think of one, but he couldn't. Chester's teacher had said the famous general couldn't be American. That made the assignment even harder! How could Chester think of a general that wasn't from America? Chester asked his mom to help him. His mom told him that he should write about Napoleon Bonaparte. Chester had never heard of Napoleon Bonaparte. His mom told him that Napoleon was French. He won many battles for France. He won so many battles that they made him emperor of France. Chester's mom took him to the library so he could learn more about Napoleon. He checked out two books. Chester learned that Napoleon was born in 1769 and died in 1821. He also learned that Napoleon was a great general. He rose up from being a common soldier to become the leader of the French army. Napoleon's army defeated many countries.
