Eating healthy foods is important. Experts advise that fruits and vegetables are keys to good health. The experts want us to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Orange and green vegetables are most important. This includes broccoli and carrots. Fresh fruits are colorful and tasty. Fruits add fiber to our diets. However, fruits are still low in calories. In the summer, fruit is plentiful. People enjoy fresh watermelon. Some other melons are cantaloupe and honeydews. Many berries are good to eat and are also colorful. These include strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Often, the most colorful part of your plate is the fruits and vegetables. Many fruits and vegetables may be eaten raw. Healthy eating helps control weight and gives the body much needed energy.
