Ben always said that when he grew up, he wanted to be famous. He didn't want to be a movie star or a professional athlete, though. He had other ideas. Ben said he wanted to be famous for doing something no one else in the world had ever done. Ben would spend hours at the library looking up world records and reading stories about famous adventurers. The more he read, the more amazed he was with all of the crazy and exciting things people had already done. He thought about all of the incredible speed records that had been set in cars, boats, and airplanes. He was fascinated by the stories of the men and women who climbed mountain peaks, explored jungles, and sailed the oceans. Before he knew it, Ben had learned more historical facts about famous explorers than anyone in town. That's when Ben realized that he was already on his way to becoming famous for something himself.
