His older brother, Jim, had left for college two weeks ago. Casey went into Jim's old room to look around. He looked at all the pictures of Jim's high school friends, girlfriends, and graduation parties. Next to those were old books that were too hard for Casey to read. There were no DVDs or CDs left in the room. There was an old baseball mitt in the closet. He could tell where Grandma had cleaned up and arranged things on shelves. Normally Jim kept his shelves messy but organized in his own way. Casey wondered what his old room would look like when he went to college. Would he leave behind great photos of all his friends? He also wondered what his own room in college would look like someday.
