The day that Danny's dad parked his brand new sports car in the garage was the day that Danny's life changed forever. Until that day Danny's dad had always driven a station wagon or a sedan. They were always the plainest, most basic models available. They were always painted a very boring color, like gray, tan, or dark blue. Some didn't even have radios or air conditioning. But this car was different. It was shiny metallic red. It had an eight-speaker stereo system with a CD changer, MP3 player, and satellite radio. It had leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, custom chrome wheels, and even a navigation system. It was the coolest car that Danny had ever seen. And it was his Dad's! Danny's dad winked at Danny and told him to hop in. Danny's pulse raced as he eased himself into the passenger seat. He had just learned that life is a ride and you never know what might be around the next corner.
