Join in something/doing something |
To take part in an activity with other people (tham gia vào một hoạt động nào đó) |

Hang out |
To spend a lot of time in a place (đi chơi) |

Keep something<->up |
To continue to practise something (tiếp tục một sở thích/hoạt động nào đó) |

Go in |
If the sun or moon goes in, it disappears behind a cloud (mặt trời ẩn sau đám mây) |
The sun had gone in and it was starting to get darker. |
Warm up |
When the temperature gets higher and it becomes warmer (khi thời tiết trở nên ấm áp hơn) |
I love spring because the weather starts to warm up. |
Blow up |
To start suddenly and with force (nói về cơn gió mạnh hoặc cơn bão mạnh kéo tới bất chợt) |
A storm was blowing up. |
Pour down |
When rain pours down, rain is falling heavily (mưa to) |
All of a sudden, the rain starts to pour down and everyone is seeking for shelter. |
Be snowed in/up |
To be unable to leave a place because of heavy snow (khi không thể ra ngoài hay di chuyển do tuyết dày đặt) |
We were snowed in for two days. |

To stay somewhere for a short time during a long journey (dừng chân ở một nơi nào đó trong một khoảng thời gian ngắn) |

Check out (of…) |
To pay your bill and leave a hotel, etc. (trả phòng khách sạn) |
Guests should check out of their noons by noon. |
Set out |
To leave a place and begin a journey (bắt đầu chuyến đi) |
They set out on the last stage of their journey. |
