1. S + V + too + adj/adv + (for someone) + to do something: quá…. để cho ai làm gì…
Ví dụ: He ran too fast for me to follow.
2. S + V + adj/ adv + enough + (for someone) + to do something: đủ… cho ai đó làm gì…
Ví dụ: She is old enough to get married.
3. S + V + so + adj/ adv + that + S + V: quá… đến nỗi mà…
Ví dụ: He speaks so soft that we can’t hear anything.
4. To fail to do something: không làm được cái gì… /thất bại trong việc làm cái gì…
Ví dụ: We failed to do this exercise.
5. To be succeed in V-ing: thành công trong việc làm cái gì…
Ví dụ: We were succeed in passing the exam.
6. Would rather (‘d rather) + V (infinitive) + than + V (infinitive): thích làm gì… hơn làm gì…
Ví dụ: He would rather play games than read books.
7. Would like/ want/wish + to do something : muốn làm gì…
Ví dụ: I would like to go to the cinema with you tonight.
8. Have/ get + something + done (past participle): nhờ ai hoặc thuê ai làm gì…
Ví dụ: I had my hair cut yesterday.
9. To be amazed at: ngạc nhiên về…
Ví dụ: I was amazed at his big beautiful villa.
10. To be angry at + N/V-ing: tức giận về…
Ví dụ: Her mother was very angry at her bad marks.
11. It is (very) kind of someone to do something: ai thật tốt bụng/tử tế khi làm gì…
Ví dụ: It is very kind of you to help me.
12. It + be + time + S + V (-ed, cột 2): đã đến lúc ai đó phải làm gì…
Ví dụ: It is time you had a shower.
13. It + takes/took + someone + amount of time + to do something: làm gì… mất bao nhiêu thời gian…
Ví dụ: It takes me 5 minutes to get to school.
14. To be good at/ bad at + N/ V-ing: giỏi về…/ kém về…
Ví dụ: I am good at swimming.
15. It’s not necessary for someone to do something = Smb don’t need to do something: không cần thiết phải làm gì…
Ví dụ: It is not necessary for you to do this exercise.
16. To be/get tired of + N/V-ing: mệt mỏi về…
Ví dụ: My mother was tired of doing too much housework everyday.
17. To advise someone to do something: khuyên ai làm gì…
Ví dụ: Our teacher advises us to study hard.
18. Can’t stand/ help/ bear/ resist + V-ing: không chịu nổi…
Ví dụ: She can’t stand laughing at her little dog.
19. To prevent/stop + someone/something + from + V-ing: ngăn cản ai/cái gì… làm gì..
Ví dụ: He prevented us from parking our car here.
20. To look forward to V-ing: mong chờ, mong đợi làm gì…
Ví dụ: We are looking forward to going on holiday.
21. To provide smb from V-ing: cung cấp cho ai cái gì…
Ví dụ: Can you provide us with some books in history?
22. To be keen on/ to be fond of + N/V-ing: thích làm gì đó…
Ví dụ: My younger sister is fond of playing with her dolls.
23. To be interested in + N/V-ing: quan tâm đến…
Ví dụ: Mrs Brown is interested in going shopping on Sundays.
24. To be bored with: chán làm cái gì…
Ví dụ: We are bored with doing the same things everyday.
25. S + find + it + adj to do something: thấy… để làm gì…
Ví dụ: I find it very difficult to learn about English.
26. To waste + time/ money + V-ing: tốn tiền hoặc thời gian/ tiền bạc làm gì…
Ví dụ: We always wastes time playing computer games each day.
27. To spend + amount of time/ money + V-ing : dành bao nhiêu thời gian/ tiền bạc làm gì…
Ví dụ: Mr Jim spent a lot of money traveling around the world last year.
28. To give up + V-ing/ N: từ bỏ làm gì/ cái gì…
Ví dụ: You should give up smoking as soon as possible.
29. Too + tính từ + to do something: quá làm sao… để làm cái gì…
Ví dụ: I’m too young to get married.
30. Had better + V(infinitive) nên làm gì….
Ví dụ: You had better go to see the doctor.
31. To prevent someone from V-ing: cản trở ai làm gì…
Ví dụ: The rain stopped us from going for a walk.
32. To have no idea of something = Don’t know about something: không biết/ không có ý tưởng về cái gì…
Ví dụ: I have no idea of this word = I don’t know this word.
